Will Social Media Replace Face-to-Face Networking?

Social media has transformed the way we do business now. It levels the playing field for entrepreneurs who can survive in this economic downturn. With the tremendous growth of Facebook and Twitter, this allows the opportunity to be innovative and create authentic content while playing with the ‘big guys’ of your industry. Unfortunately, it does not apply to social media or social networking. Web 2.0 is all about content, content and more content. The more content you have the better you will stand out from the crowd. SEO includes but not limited to keywords, keyword description, meta tag, meta description, site maps and headers. Are you confused? Do not worry; I was confused until last Thursday evening on the Nan Ross Show. My guest, Glenn Weissman, explained SEO in lamas terms. He gave the audience a hands-on demonstration of my www.corporatecosmo website. He pointed out source code that was acceptable and what codes needed fine-tuning. It definitely opened my eyes on how SEO has a tremendous impact on online visibility. Tune in as Glenn outline his 10 Steps to Improve Your Search Engine Visibility without Costing Anything.

5 Ways To Use Social Media To Build a Fabulous Brand with the Herbsistah

Thursday night was the most excited night of my life. I finally launched my first Talk Shoe show and interviewed the amazing Herb Lady, Este Rivears. The topic was New Media – The New Ways of Doing Business. The interview went very smoothly. Eshe was well prepared to answer all questions I threw at her. She willingly shared her experience in the Web 2.0 world, which made for a successful and worthwhile interview. I am currently in learning mode with using Talk Shoe, but it was a thrilling and challenging experience. I had the pleasure to engage in an informative conversation with an expert and the opportunity to receive live feedback from my listeners on the phone and in the chat room. During the call I have learned a few lessons. I had a caller who has asked me great questions about my services, while simultaneously having another guest in the chat room asking me another. I kept my cool but I got sidetrack because I did not want to disrupt the caller’s time. First, I would like to sent my deepest apologizes to Guest 5 not responding promptly. I need to take more control of the conversation while at the same time remaining polite when there is a need for interruptions. Another lesson I have learned is to completely finish stating my points. During the call, I was trying to recap the 5 Ways To Use Social Media To Build A Fabulous Brand. Unknowingly, I have outlined only four out of five. One minute before the end of the show, I had another listener who was patiently waiting on the fifth step. Once again, I send my apologies to Greta, from New York. Even though, I have explained the steps in detail during the call, a recap is very important. Having a recap will allow the listeners to remember easy guidelines to take away from the call. Therefore, the next time, I will be ready for the challenges! However, do not hesitate and please listen to the interview. Your feedback and comments will be greatly appreciative.
