Quick How-To Tips:

  1. Use a photo/image editing program to create a customized background
  2. Total image size should be 1600px wide by 1200px height
  3. For left-hand column, do not exceed 235px wide
  4. Image should not exceed 800k
  5. Go to Twitter: Settings – Design – Change Background Image

How To Install WordPress Plugins

When I first started blogging with WordPress, installing plugins was daunting. I had to download the plugins, login to my GoDaddy account and upload the plugins to the FTP server.  It was too much work.  Now you can search and install plugins right from your WordPress Dashboard in less than 3 minutes.  Feel free to watch the video or see instructions below.

How To Use Podcasting To Promote Your Blog

Whether it is audio or video, start a podcast show on your industry topic.  Streamline your podcast on multiple platforms and submit your podcast to podcasting directories, like Podcastalley, Podfeed and iTunes.  Try to be everywhere!

Give out your blog address in every episodes, whether in the beginning or at the end.  Encourage your audience to subscribe and highlight the benefits for joining your community.

Try recording interviews with other expert in your niche or someone who has a product or services that compliments yours.  This strategy opens up tons of opportunity for new promotional channels.
